Full Day – 8:00 to 5:00 Half Day – 8:00 to 12:30or 12:30 to 5:00

 

A typical day
8:00   Early arrival – meet and greet, free exploration.
8:30   Breakfast, served outdoors under our beautiful trees whenever West Texas weather permits. : )
9:00   Music and Dance Play (Dancey-dance time!) Kids get their wiggles out to a variety of classical and cross-cultural music, and are encouraged to participate with various musical instruments
9:30   Outdoor play and exploration.
10:15   Potty break
10:30   Morning snack
10:45   Art – drawing, painting, or sculpture, working outside whenever possible
11:15   Reading, flash card
11:45   Clean up, potty as needed
12:00   Lunch
12:30  Clean-up/ Rejuvenation Period
2:30  Afternoon snack, potty break
3:00  Various craft projects or hand/eye coordination tasks (beading, puzzles, building blocks, etc.)
3:30  Nature Discovery/Outdoor play and games
4:30  Potty break, Free Exploration
5:00  End of day, music

 

Toddlers are engaged in practical daily activities that they can readily imitate such as singing, dancing, drumming, painting, puppetry, and gardening. Your child’s power of imagination will be nurtured by being read to regularly and encouraged in free play and exploration.

Throughout the day we listen to a many styles of music from around the world, and the children experiment with a variety of musical instruments from drums, guitars and keyboards. Our home includes a large playroom and yard, with a garden and pleasant outdoor area where we spend as much time as possible working and playing under the beautiful shade trees. We are the unique Lubbock child care facility.
